Contraceptive clinics
NHS Camden Provider Services offers a range of contraception (family planning) in Central London, Brent, Camden and Islington.
These clinics are free, confidential and open-access which means that you do not need a referral from your GP. Appointment based family planning (GUM) clinics are available daily from the Margaret Pyke Centre in central London. Walk-in clinics are also available from a large number of health centres across Camden, Brent and Islington.

- advice and provision of all reversible methods of contraception including intrauterine contraception
- counselling and referral for male and female sterilisation
- emergency contraception
- pregnancy testing
- referral for abortion
- cervical screening (smear test)
- chlamydia screening by self-taken sample for people under 25
- young people’s sexual health clinics
- advice about gynaecological issues including the menopause. pre-menstrual syndrome and
menstrual problems
- advice and referral for breast problems
